If you’re speaking to me as though I’m not in the room:
You’re not either
All these patterns from your past
I’m here under false pretense, as a witness
to your monologue, when I could be anyone -
You’d still be stuck in your story
I wish you could see
Your history is chaining you
We could let go and never lose
Nostalgia is killing us
I am a body in space, slipping in and out of doors, nothing more
I once lost years of my life
Searching through day and night
For a form that shifted shape a hundred times
The key can’t be retracing my memory -
I’d still be stuck in my story
I wish you could see
Your history is chaining you
We could let go and never lose
Nostalgia is killing us
No use in going through old pain, it will come again
The one before won’t be the last, of course
We’ll love again
Heard WB on a late BC night. Wow.
Sometimes feels familiar, then "Can't Go Home" pops up as the jewel that says there is more here than you thought! Anthony B Cook
When I saw her perform last year she said something along the lines of, "ever make a song so good you have to perform it for the rest of your life? Don't worry, I like this song." She proceeded to perform Chance and that is without a doubt the best one, runner-up to Spring 🌆📯🐗 Sinnamon Ghost Crunch
Incredible soundscapes, music that transports you to another perspective. Gives me a whole new appreciation for sound engineering for piano. deunanreeves
The brilliant Madison McFerrin unveils her first full-length, a lush pop-soul triumph full of gorgeously textured songs. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2023
What a great album. It took me a while to really get the whole album but I can confidently say it's one of her best. The shorter songs are certainly a different feel, but I still like it. I could pick like five different songs as my favorite and all of them would feel right lol praisedrays
